Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution No. 2026-0278 to amend or not amend the zoning as provided in Title 19 O.S.,§868.16 on a tract of land from R-2 - Rural Residential District to R-1 - Acreage Residential District (Z-2025-04). The applicant proposes to change the zoning to develop a single-family subdivision on approximately 160 acres. The Oklahoma County Planning Commission has recommended approval during a public meeting on January 15, 2026. Written protests against the amendment, signed and acknowledged by the owners of twenty percent (20%) of the frontage within one thousand (1,000) feet to the right or left of the frontage proposed to be changed, were filed with the County Planning Commission. This amendment may not be passed except by the favorable vote of all members of the Board of County Commissioners. The property is located at the southeast corner of Hefner Rd. and Harrah Rd.
