Title: Discussion and possible action regarding the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office’s FY26 Traffic Safety Grant award in the amount of Four Hundred Twenty-One Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and Zero Cents ($421,179.00). This award would provide for the following: two traffic safety educators salary and benefits, funds for overtime for a bilingual deputy to assist the traffic safety educators and Teen LEDT instructors during traffic safety events, funds for overtime for LEDT instructors for teen driver safety education training, funds for overtime traffic safety enforcement, funds to cover costs of in-state travel for the traffic safety educators, funds to cover operating costs for traffic safety educators for maintenance, fuel, printing, presentations, phone expenses, etc. No matching funds are required with this award.
