Title: Discussion and possible action regarding an amendment to the “Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct” section on pages 35-36 of the Oklahoma County Employee Handbook to include “embezzlement, and conversion of property to cash”, and “An employee may be financially responsible to Oklahoma County for the theft, embezzlement, misappropriation, conversion, sale, transfer, destruction, loss, or other unauthorized disposition or use of County funds or property. If the County determines that an employee owes money to the County as a result of the employee’s unauthorized conduct, the County may pursue recovery through any lawful means, including but not limited to holding and/or offsetting the debt owed to the County from the employee’s last paycheck.” This item is recommended by the Handbook Committee and requested by Brandi Mertens, Chair for the Handbook Committee.
